There are only three things that can be done with application: scan for more information, scan for more information on individual drives, exit. Data is presented in a very easy-to-understand way.
Interface is very clear and concise and it allows user to filter data by size and type. SpaceSniffer Linux is extremely user-friendly and easy to use. Only drawback is that if you don't want to use computer to find out how to use soft, there is not really any documentation on how to use application. Beneath this are results of scan, with percentage of free space shown on left, total size on right. When scanning, application will show a bar with a progress bar and device name of drive being scanned. Below list are two buttons to scan for more information, with an icon to select them. A list of current computer's drives is at top, with percentage of free space shown next to each drive.
When opened, application opens to a single window with a black background and a list of options on left. Icon is in shape of a blue circle surrounded by a red frame. Interface of download SpaceSniffer is very simple, with a desktop icon that will open application. You can click on folder name to open folder in Finder. Graph will show size of folder in gigabytes, size of its contents in megabytes. You can find folder you want to explore by clicking on arrow next to folder name. Below graph is a scrolling list of all folders on your hard drive. When you open soft, you are presented with a graph showing disk space you have left on your hard drive. Application balances importance of different types of data, for example, system files and data, gives user ability to filter data based on size and type. Software SpaceSniffer app provides an intuitive way to find, preview, open, interact with individual files and folders. It provides a detailed graphical representation of distribution of space on your hard drives, CD/DVD drives, or any other type of storage devices. Application is a visual tool for exploring contents of a computer’s hard drives, other storage devices. Application is available on developer’s website and on App Store.
